Innovative Recover Chemistry
Recover® Overview
The Recover® line of paint stripping and cleaning chemistries represent the state of the art in these technologies. When you need the best, most effective, and universal paint removal product, look no further than Recover.
Composed of organic fluids and additives, these products provide fast, safe, and effective ways of removing almost any type of paint coating from a variety of materials. Operating over a range of temperatures from ambient to about 325°F., Recover products provide excellent paint removal and cleaning performance. Everything from solvent based coatings to high temperature powders are simple to remove with Recover solutions.
This organic fluid paint removal process is compatible with a wide variety of substrates used in today’s industry. They include various forms of steel, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, brass, copper and some select plastics. Surface treatments such as phosphate and galvanizing are left in place by the Recover stripping process. Our chemistry is able to remove paint and similar coatings from all of these substrates quickly and efficiently.
Recover Components
The Recover paint stripping process is very gentle to metal surfaces. Highly polished components are virtually unaffected during processing and afterwards usually require no further finessing or re-polishing. This makes Recover an ideal process to remove reject coatings from appearance-critical products such as aluminum automotive wheels, clear-coated hardware, faucets and other plumbing fixtures. Besides not changing the appearance of cleaned components, an added benefit of the Recover process is its preservation of the metallurgical properties of the parts processed. Obviously this is especially important for safety-critical components such as automotive wheels. After processing, these wheels are nearly identical to brand new wheels and ready to be repainted..
Recover Energy & Environmental Costs
Adequate fume containment and hooded ventilation is strongly recommended when using the Recover line of products. Even though the materials have low vapor pressure and very low toxicity, it is preferred to limit contact with the material. Protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves should be worn when working with the processing equipment and chemical. Generally, the material has very low evaporative losses, is readily biodegradable, and is easily managed. An MSDS can be provided if more information is required.
